A Lovely Italian Dinner With A Delectable Tomato-based Dish

The city of Milan in Italy is not only renowned for its fashion shows but also for its dishes rich in red sauces, making ripe and plump tomatoes part of a typical Italian pantry. The red tomatoes not only add a unique essence to any Italian dish, it also provides a marvelous color to the dish, making it more tempting and pleasing to the eyes. That's why when I stayed over a chum’s house in Italy, I was stuffed with yummy red-sauced pastas and beautifully garnished dishes. My all-time favorite was the Chicken Calabrese, a baked chicken dish covered with succulent tomato-based sauce mixed with slices of vegetables and spices for that added piquancy.

Not only me but also my friends are fond of tomato-based dishes -- my companions alternately use mushrooms and spinach as part of their inventive cooking technique. According to them, having tomato as the principal ingredient, Chicken Calabrese is so easy to prepare that it's what they commonly serve their families after a hectic day -- the same thing applies to us. One time, after the mouthwatering meal, we helped ourselves into a quite a lot of slices of a Prosciutto Cheese Bread, a tasty pastry baked with ham and different kinds of cheese. A simple but succulent fruit dessert complimented the delightful dinner, followed with cups of hot coffee.
