Italy Have to Attempt More

When it comes to basketball, I do not have much veneration for the Italy's national basketball team, simply because there are better teams compared to them in this domain. They may have gained my veneration when they got the much-coveted 2006 World Cup in Germany; but it's a big no in terms of basketball. I would rather elect teams from Argentina, Spain, Germany, and other European team to go up against US instead of electing the Italians.

I suppose basketball is one particular aspect that Italians should improve on if they desire to compete with the best. feasibly they should try to develop younger players who will compete against popular players from the National Basketball Association. Even though, this year's NBA first round pick is an Italian, I suppose it is not yet enough. They should attempt to send more athletes to the NBA to obtain exposure and experience. Through this, Italy can form a group of skillful and experienced players who can match with the US team and the rest of the world.

If they can achieve it, it will be another feat for the country itself. Imagine, they are tagged as the second winningest team in World Cup, and yet they still sparkle in the basketball scene.
