Italy's Outstanding and Unsurpassed Defender

Italy became the second winningest football club in World Cup history after routing France last month in Germany. Because of the team's first-rate showing in this important event, seven players from the team were chosen to be included in FIFA's All-Star line up. Among the seven Italian players who were chosen were Zambrotta, Gianluigi Buffon, Totti, Gennaro Gattuso, Toni, Pirlo, and Fabio Cannavaro, Italy's outstanding and unsurpassed defender.

Speaking of Fabio Cannavaro, I unquestionably venerate this player because he has the ability to play good defense against his man. Everyone sees that a team cannot prevail without defending the opposing team very well. If the team's defense is very solid, then the challengers have no other way to achieve a goal. In such a way, football is like a basketball game where defense enacts an vital role. Italy is so lucky to have a player like Cannavaro in their line-up because of the player's capability on defense. This athlete who is so swift on the court also has a first-rate leaping ability although he's not very tall. Moreover, this outstanding Italian is always in good physical condition that even the medical staff of Spanish team Real Madrid compared him to a bull.
